There’s been alot of chatter from our US office around an upcoming Broadway play called Viagra Falls. It’s about a couple of elderly blokes celebrating their birthday with little blue pills - Viagra. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a female Viagra? A little pink pill that offered an instant reaction for women! Would you buy it? Would women feel comfortable asking their GP for a bountiful 4 hours of special cuddles?
Apparently the big pharmaceutical companies have been searching for the winning formula for quite some time. The drug they put forward is actually related to the antidepressant family, it acts on brain chemicals that play a role on the woman’s sexual response. (It wasn’t approved due to unknown long term risks.)So, if I understand this correctly, it’s all about the mechanics for men and all about the brain for women.
A guy I know believes there’ll never be a Viagra for women... a bunch of flowers and box of chocolates would do the trick. This would be nice but it’s not that easy for all women. I personally feel while the gesture is nice I would have preferred a new pair of shoes! What works for you?
