I’m inspired... The Block, Better Homes & Gardens, 60 Minute Makeover - I have decided I want a hot new house too – without breaking the budget of course. Last time my husband and I decided to do some D.I.Y it ended in a half painted bedroom and a lesson in the fine art of the French language, so I’m setting some ground rules. First things first
1) Whatever we start we have to finish. Even if it means calling hire a hubby, the job will get done – not that I’m anticipating failure!.!.!
2) We are going to work on separate parts of the house away from each other. He gets a room and I get another room at the other end of the house. No distractions.
I’ll get the hubby in the garage working on his shelfing. I’m always so envious of those organized garages that actually allow room for a car. How fancy would it be if I could actually use the garage.
I am in charge of redecorating the dining room, very exciting. Some new light fittings, a lick of paint plus some new décor should do the trick.There are great specials on at the moment with the end of financial year sales, which should help keep costs at a low.
A girlfriend of mine took a bathroom project under her wing but lost the use of the bathroom for 2 days! I can’t foresee anything disruptive happening here..... and Yes I know you’ve got to turn the mains power thingy off before playing with the lights :P
