So I’m reading this article on Women in the UK who feel they’re too fat to have a fulfilling sex life. According to a survey more than half of women say that their physical relationships suffer because they feel too fat to have a fulfilling sex life. Is your body image a mood killer?
For example: one of the respondents is 43 and a size 12. She admits she is by no means BIG, and has increased from a size 8 to her current size 12 over 20 years. Her husband barely notices her weight gain and doesn’t care. So if this is the case why should she let her physic get in the way of an enjoyable sex life?
So you’re in a long term relationship, you’ve got a couple of kids and a mortgage – we’re not all going to have the perfect physic. I don’t know the last time I made time for myself to get to the gym but with everything that goes on in a day it’s not something I beat myself up over. And nor should I.
I believe the way we look shouldn’t dictate our life path, choices, our daily routines and enjoyment. Eat well, get off the couch and enjoy whatever life throws at you.
