A little chilli can go a long way as it helps stimulate and quicken the pulse which induces sweating and mimics the state of sexual arousal. Chilli has also been shown to stimulate the release of endorphins, which naturally occur during sexual pleasure.

Chilli Con Carne

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 700g lean minced beef
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 red chilli chopped finely (remove some of the seeds if you prefer a milder chilli)
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 425g can tomatoes, chopped
  • 400g can red kidney beans, drained
  • 200ml red wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (you can use flat leaf parsley as an alternative)

Method:

Heat the oil in a large frypan add the onion and cook for two minutes or until soft and translucent. Add the mince meat followed by the garlic and cook until the mince has browned. Season with salt and pepper. Add the Chilli, Cumin, Mustard, tomato paste, tomatoes, beans and wine. Leave to simmer for 25 minutes. Just before serving stir through the fresh chopped coriander or parsley.

Serve with some warmed natural corn chips and a side of avocado for a light meal. Alternatively you can serve as a main meal with rice.
