I am trying to plan a family holiday for January but I can’t decide what I should do. With the Australian dollar doing so well I am tempted on splurging and taking the family overseas. But with all the drama that’s playing out with Qantas and their constant striking, I’m worried that even if we do decide to go abroad the odds of being able to fly out on the decided date doesn’t look good.
I have done the usual North Coast and South Coast getaways but I want to go somewhere tropical so the kids can enjoy a range of different water activities and more importantly I can unwind by the pool sipping on a well deserved, tasty cocktail.
One of my girlfriends mentioned that she took her family to Hamilton Island last summer holidays, and that it was one of the best holidays she has ever been on. Not only were there plenty of activities for the entire family but Hamilton Island had a dedicated kids club, with holiday activities to keep the kids entertained the entire time they were there.
Can you truly experience a tropical holiday that rivals Fiji and Samoa here at home?
