Can you plan a wedding in a week? Online...?
I’m loving the new Microsoft competition Marry Me Microsoft. If you’re not up to speed, Microsoft have put up the challenge for a man to plan an entire wedding in just one week.
We’re tossing up here in the office how we think the successful guy will do – what will he do? It’s not every day that a guy arranges an entire wedding. Will there be flowers, place cards and bonbonnieres? Usually the men shy away from the wedding planning and hand it all over to the woman.
Weddings can be such a stressful time for everyone involved and can feel like they’re taking over your life.
I’m not actually married myself, even though I call him my husband, however I’ve seen and heard some shockers from friends. Things like; the celebrant doesn’t show up or calls you by the wrong name, the flowers are a different colour, the bride won’t let the bridesmaids smoke a cigarette while in their dresses. The worst I’ve heard is from an old friend of mine who had an evening garden wedding which was just perfect until it came time to cut the wedding cake and found that a bat had crapped all over the wedding cake. Needless to say the pavlova was the most popular dessert.
Have you got a horror wedding story to share?
